It allows for direct and minimally invasive visualization of small bowel mucosa and can identify superficial lesions not detected by traditional endoscopy and radiography. Indications: small bowel diseases, Crohn’s disease and the evaluation of anaemia and obscure gastrointestinal bleeding.
